LILAe’s writing groups
LILAe continues to arrange two writing groups in the Spring Term. Each provides a weekly opportunity to escape distractions and focus entirely on writing in the company of colleagues from different departments.
The “Skrivjuntan” writing group
The "Skrivjuntan writing group" is open to colleagues at all levels. It meets on Mondays at 9:15-12:00 in room Eng 22-1005 (near the Humanities Theater). With mobile phones turned off and Outlook closed, we converge around the same table to write, working quietly on individual projects. For efficiency, we use the Pomodoro method (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pomodoro_Technique), writing in 25-minute intervals with short breaks in between.
All are welcome at any time!
There is no obligation to attend regularly.

The PhD Writing Group
The PhD Writing Group is open to all PhD students at the Faculty of Languages. The group meets on Wednesdays between 10.00 and 12.00 in room Eng 22-1005 (near the Humanities Theater). The group uses the Pomodoro technique, writing for 20-25 min on individual projects (or work on whatever they need done, reading or writing) for a set amount of time before a short break. The PhD Writing Group has proved to not only be a productive space for work, it has also functioned as a place for PhD students to meet and discuss PhD life and dissertation writing.
There is no obligation to attend regularly, or even to attend the full two-hours.
All are welcome!
